Senior Financial Analyst

Summary

Join Liftoff's Corporate Finance team as a temporary Senior Financial Analyst to cover for a colleague on leave. This 4-6 month contract position offers a remote-first opportunity within the Pacific Time Zone. You will build and maintain financial models, manage FP&A processes, prepare financial review packages, and support senior leadership. The ideal candidate possesses 2-4 years of experience in a relevant field, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent communication abilities. Liftoff offers competitive hourly rates ($60-$70/hr) and a fast-paced, challenging work environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience, ideally in investment banking, equity research, or FP&A
• Robust financial modeling, ideally with experience in Tech or other high-growth industries
• Robust systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel and PowerPoint skills. NetSuite and Pigment experience a plus
• Proficient analytical and critical thinking; ability to communicate complex concepts at a high level
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail
• Superb communication skills and ability to skillfully manage relationships with stakeholders across the business
• History of cross-functional work with well-developed relationship management & collaboration
• Bachelor’s Degree (MBAs invited to apply; CFA/CPA a plus)

Responsibilities

• Structure, build, and maintain complex financial and decision-making models, including cash forecasting, to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
• Operate the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including Annual planning, Quarterly forecasts, and budget vs actuals analysis
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial review packages for executive management and the Board of Directors
• Support senior leadership on ad-hoc research and analysis
• Work closely with Sales Finance to review, refine, and finalize financial and operating metrics and leverage to forecast accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite and Pigment experience
• MBA
• CFA/CPA
