Summary

Join Western Digital's HDD R&D organization as a Finance/Accounting professional. Collaborate with senior executives and management teams, managing all aspects of organizational spending. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships and be seen as a valued business partner
  • Exhibits solid communication, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Team focused with good interpersonal skills
  • Systems and tools skills required: SmartView, Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as a trusted business partner within the HDD R&D org, including interacting with senior executives and their respective management teams
  • Manage all aspects of spending for the organization, including but not limited to, expense management, quarterly/annual forecasts, variance analysis, monthly close, and management reporting
  • Drive key analysis on expense trends and metrics
  • Support R&D consolidation reporting process and quarterly executive package for summarizing and analyzing R&D spending
  • Work closely with business partners in utilizing Clarity PPM (project budgeting tool)
  • Focus on process enhancements and continuous improvement
  • Support ad-hoc initiatives for R&D organization
