Join Momos, a rapidly growing AI startup, as a Senior HR Manager to lead and execute the people strategy across a globally distributed workforce. You will own the HR function end-to-end, from recruitment and compliance to employee experience and culture, working closely with leadership. This Malaysia-based role is perfect for someone experienced in scaling startups and requires managing HR operations across multiple regions. You will design and lead performance management, promote diversity and inclusion, and collaborate with various teams. While starting as an individual contributor, this role offers growth opportunities to lead a team. The ideal candidate has 4-7 years of HR experience in high-growth environments and deep knowledge of international labor laws.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in HR, with strong exposure to both strategic and hands-on HR operations in high-growth environments
  • Deep knowledge of international labor laws, especially in the UAE, SEA, the US and India
  • Experience working with EOR providers and managing multi-country payroll
  • Proficiency in HR tools like HRIS and ATS platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-changing, globally distributed setup

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end hiring processes, from job scoping to offer rollouts, ensuring high-quality and timely recruitment aligned with business needs
  • Manage an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to streamline hiring operations
  • Oversee seamless onboarding experiences that set up new hires for success
  • Manage HR operations across multiple regions including UAE, Southeast Asia, India, the US, and Singapore, ensuring local compliance and alignment with company policies
  • Set up and maintain legal HR frameworks in new markets, including company entity formation, labor law compliance, and benefits administration
  • Administer payroll processes through in-house systems and Employer of Record (EOR) partners for a global workforce
  • Design and lead performance management cycles, including OKR alignment, appraisal processes, and continuous feedback mechanisms
  • Roll out initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and enhance employee engagement and retention
  • Leverage employee feedback and data to design competitive compensation structures and improve workplace experience
  • Act as the first responder for HR operational issues, resolving them quickly while balancing compliance and empathy
  • Own HR policy development, documentation, and consistent implementation across the organization
  • Collaborate with leadership on organization design, workforce planning, and change management strategies
  • Lead planning and execution of company-wide events, offsites, and culture-building initiatives
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Tech teams to streamline payroll audits, visa processes, HR systems integrations, and more
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with employees during organizational updates, transitions, or crises
