Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience or minimum of 9 years of experience as a senior HR leader in a global, non-profit organization, with a strong track record of driving strategic HR initiatives and fostering employee engagement
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 9 years of experience as a senior HR leader in a global, non-profit organization, with a strong track record of driving strategic HR initiatives and fostering employee engagement
  • Proven record of leading/managing projects
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and navigating labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance procedures, and maintaining positive union-management relationships
  • Experience working with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs)
  • Experience working in a multinational environment
  • Experience working in a multicultural team
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the non-profit/NGO sector, with an understanding of the unique HR challenges and priorities in mission-driven organizations
  • Demonstrated success in standardizing HR practices, policies, and programs in diverse regions and cultures
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to align HR strategies with overall business objectives
  • Familiarity with HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in the United States, Germany, Jordan, and Lebanon
  • Knowledge of global HR systems and data security regulations, particularly within the European Union
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to build a strong rapport at all levels within the organization and across offices
  • Proven ability to drive successful organizational change and cultivate buy-in for new HR initiatives across an organization
  • Exceptional people management skills, with ability to lead, mentor and develop teams
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging and multicultural, team-oriented environment and juggling multiple priorities while establishing and maintaining robust HR processes
  • Able to work well with a diverse group of people in a team environment

  • Proficient with technical tools and their applications, such as Project Management (Asana), Google applications, Office Suite (including Excel and PowerPoint), and Applicant Tracking Systems (Lever)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute HR projects, including HR technology projects, across the organization including tracking and reporting on status, risks, issues, and dependencies, managing the project timeline and deliverables
  • Manage all HR team meetings utilizing a standard methodology to ensure all projects and initiatives are appropriately resourced and driven to completion timely
  • Drive and manage the implementation of global HR information systems, ensuring compliance with data security regulations, particularly within Europe's General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
  • Create and maintain an HR calendar to help IRAP leadership prioritize projects, understand deadlines, and make informed decisions
  • Support the maintenance, efficiency, use and understanding of HR technology at the organization
  • Draft project review reports and presentations, including key information, commentary, and recommendations to support the review process and enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on change
  • Research, implement, and maintain processes, resources, and tools for optimizing the productivity and effectiveness of the HR team
  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing review of all global HR policies with a focus on consistency, fairness and legal compliance across all locations. Ensure policies reflect best practices in areas such as employee relations, diversity and inclusion and ethical conduct
  • Collaborate with Senior VP HR, legal counsel and senior leadership to navigate complex regulatory environments to mitigate risks associated with policies and practices
  • Manage the standardization of HR processes, including employee relations, safeguarding, background checking, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, compensation, and working with a Professional Employment Organization (PEO)
  • Identify opportunities for HR process improvement and efficiency gains
  • Analyze project data and metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, outcomes, and impact
  • Support the SVP- Global HR directly on the execution of projects and deliverables as needed
  • Work closely with the Senior HR Managers to collaborate and strategically implement current and future HR processes
  • Undertake other duties and projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required
  • PMP certified preferred
