Requirements
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Have experience with medical records and personal injury
- Have knowledge of medical terminology
- Be proficient in legal software platforms, research tools, and databases, such as Casetext, LexisNexis, or Westlaw
- Have a good understanding of e-filing with Pacer/ECF and various state courts
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to proactively interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Be proficient in completing virtual tasks, including word processing, spreadsheets, and cloud storage systems like OneDrive or Dropbox
- Be self-motivated and self-disciplined to schedule time to complete tasks within the deadlines
- Have personal integrity and take ownership of your work
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Be proficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members

Responsibilities
- Perform paralegal tasks in different states and federal jurisdictions
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation proceedings or adjust to unfamiliar courts and jurisdictions
- Draft, prepare, and e-file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas
- Organize and maintain case files and documents, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible
- Assist with case management tasks such as scheduling, calendaring deadlines, and coordinating with external parties
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including proofreading documents, organizing meetings, and managing correspondence
- Professionally and effectively communicate with management, clients, and other team members promptly
- Prepare Table of Contents/Table of Authorities for court briefs (TOC/TOA)
- Prepare various types of attorney work products, including deposition summaries
- Adhere to privilege, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all aspects of work
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience in insurance defense
- Have medical-related experience such as nursing or pharmaceutical
- Have experience in a remote or on-demand capacity
