Summary

The Senior Manager Accounting-Federal position at Energy Solutions involves cost accounting compliance with Federal Accounting Standards, rate creation for federal contracts, and implementing internal controls for accounting and invoicing. Requirements

• BS/BA in accounting/finance or relative field
• 7+ years of accounting experience – 5 for senior for staff
• 3+ years of Federal cost accounting experience
• Great attention to detail
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Good understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting practices
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Perform under minimal supervision
• Prefer some supervision experience
• Understanding of internal controls for the accounting function
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Develop rates for Cost Plus Federal Contracts
• Prepare financial journal entries
• Responsible for all assigned General Ledger financial reconciliations
• Compliance with regards to Federal Cost Accounting Standards
• Point of contact for Federal audits
• Assist with the controls for the New ERP implementation
• Standardize and Document Processes
• Support and provide a monthly calendar of all Accounting activities
• Assist the Controller in establishing best practice internal controls for the Invoicing and Accounting Functions

• Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay band of $105,000 - $137,000
