Summary

Join our team as a Sr. Manager of Payroll Tax Services to lead and oversee multiple payroll tax-related production functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll corrections, amended returns, tax notices, and print & mail functions.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years in a managerial role
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in payroll tax services
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and leading managers
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in payroll tax software and payroll systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee teams responsible for payroll corrections and amendments to payroll tax filings, research and resolution of tax notices as needed
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve payroll tax processing efficiency and accuracy
  • Oversee print administration related to payroll tax documents and payroll services
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll tax services with overall payroll operations
  • Manage and mentor a team of 25+ employees, including managers, to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional growth and development
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback
  • Identify and address training needs to enhance team capabilities and performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a payroll services environment, including familiarity with payroll processing, compliance regulations, and client management. Understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and various payment methods (e.g., direct deposit, ACH transfers, and reverse wire) is essential
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver exceptional service to clients in a fast-paced payroll company setting
