Summary
Join Thumbtack's Finance team as a Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A (OpEx) and lead the monthly forecast, annual planning, and long-range planning processes for operating expenses. You will manage a team of analysts, collaborate with senior leadership, and prepare business performance commentary. This role involves scaling financial systems and preparing Thumbtack for a potential IPO. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- 5+ years of Corporate FP&A experience
- Experienced people manager: Track record of building and developing team members
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, using key tools within Excel and G-Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
Responsibilities
- Lead company wide headcount and operating expense forecasting
- Lead annual planning, monthly forecasting & close processes
- Develop and communicate the company's cost structure narrative for Board decks, month-end close, forecasts, annual plans, and long-range plans, including process management and presentations to senior leadership
- Serve as a key business partner to all cross-functional teams, including Sales, Success, Service, Trust & Safety, Marketing, Engineering, Design, Data Science, People, IT, Legal, Recruiting, HR and Accounting
- Support the Accounting team with month-end close activities such as variance analysis
- Scale and improve FP&A systems (e.g., Adaptive) and processes to enhance productivity and accuracy
- Manage cross-functional ad hoc projects requiring FP&A input to support management and business decisions
