Summary

Join Airbnb's dynamic Communications team as a Senior Communications Manager, Editorial Data! Requirements

• A minimum of 7-9 years of professional experience in data analysis or a related field, with a proven track record of extracting actionable insights from large datasets
• Expertise in SQL and proficiency in at least one programming language, such as R or Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences
• Experience managing projects in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
• Demonstrated management experience in managing and mentoring teams

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to uncover compelling insights for use in external communications, including newsroom posts, media pitches, press interviews, and executive talking points
• Contribute to the development and execution of data-driven PR campaigns
• Write reproducible, dynamic SQL queries and conduct peer reviews of colleagues’ queries for accuracy and efficiency
• Generate creative ways to integrate data with ongoing trends or current events
• Complete data-related assignments within set timelines, presenting results in a clear and actionable manner
• Translate complex data into clear, visually engaging formats, including charts, graphs, and maps

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or D3
• Background in communications/PR
