Summary
Join Deel as a Senior Manager, Payroll Operations and oversee the South African payroll team. You will drive the strategic vision for payroll, lead optimization initiatives, and ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence. Lead payroll teams to deliver accurate and timely payroll, develop and execute payroll operations strategies, and recruit, onboard, and develop the internal payroll team. Oversee vendor relationships, monitor OKRs, and improve payroll performance. Design and implement training, documentation, and compliance standards, and work cross-functionally to drive scale and efficiency. Manage budgets and identify efficiency opportunities. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years of payroll experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Experience managing international payrolls and distributed teams
- Deep knowledge of global payroll compliance
- Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills
- Experience working cross functionally
