Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR operations experience in a start-up or technology environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Prior experience working in a PEO relationship and/or experience with payroll management
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable HR operations programs and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and influence across functions and levels of an organization
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, industry trends, and legal requirements
  • Proven project management and organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to understand an issue, investigate solutions, and develop recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of HR tools and systems, including Lattice, Charthop, Ethena, Checkr, and Excel (comfortable using lookups, pivot tables, if statements)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, rewards, development, and offboarding
  • Provide expertise, guidance, and mentorship across the People team
  • Manage a Senior HR Generalist
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR strategies, programs, policies, and practices that align with Wisetacks' goals in partnership with the VP of People
  • Partner closely with our PEO and vendor to ensure we provide an exceptional employee experience and optimize our resources
  • Oversee bi-annual performance management cycles to ensure they align with Wisetackโ€™s goals of providing a consistent, objective, and meaningful evaluation of employee performance and career development
  • Maintain and develop operational processes to support talent management initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate with the VP of People and HRBP to drive initiatives to support employee growth and development, including career pathing, development plans, training, and support
  • Oversee the operational aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, rewards, development, and offboarding
  • Lead our bi-annual employee engagement survey process to gather employee feedback and measure employee engagement to ensure continuous improvement of the employee experience
  • Become a trusted and respected expert and consultant to leaders and employees on people team programs, policies, and practices
  • Develop people operations programs that foster a culture that aligns with Wisetackโ€™s values and support our efforts to create an inclusive and equitable workplace
  • Collaborate with the VP of People and external compensation consultant to maintain, update, and develop competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with Company goals and market demands
  • Provide partnership and guidance to Talent Acquisition and managers to ensure we remain competitive while upholding our compensation philosophy and practices
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including partnering with our PEO to analyze our benefit offerings and required legal compliance reporting and standards
  • Develop, update, and maintain our leave of absence programs, including guiding employees and managers and partnering with our external leave of absence vendor
  • Oversee our bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing in partnership with our PEO and act as a backup for the Senior HR Generalist
  • In partnership with our internal Legal and Compliance teams and PEO, ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple states
  • Develop and implement policies, practices, and procedures, including maintaining and updating the Employee Handbook and other people policies
  • Collaborate with our PEO and cross-functional partners to comply with audits and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate PEO performance, making recommendations to enhance service quality and renegotiate terms as necessary
  • Develop and regularly report on key HR metrics to assess organizational effectiveness and employee experience, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions
  • Keep current on industry trends and organizational needs to provide insights and recommendations for improving our operational practices, including HR systems, external vendors, and procedures, to ensure we build efficient and scalable operations that serve our teams and business objectives
  • Serve as the administrator of internal HR systems and vendor programs
