Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a UX Design Leader or equivalent
  • Build, manage, coach and scale a team of high-performing product designers while collaborating cross-departmentally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leadership to plan and iterate on a variety of new and existing features and products
  • Drive best practices in the design process, user research, user testing and cross functional collaboration
  • Ensure best-in-class design solutions across all of our products and features and ensure teams are delivering high-quality product design work
  • Manage and empower product designers and UX developers in doing their best work
  • Partner closely with engineering and product to identify solutions to design challenges
  • Raise the bar for product quality across our products by advocating for user-centered product roadmaps, investments in innovation, and insights driven by user research
  • Iteratively improve products based on quantitative and qualitative feedback and clearly communicate design decisions to stakeholders across departments
  • Balance long-term and short-term perspectives throughout the continuous release process while iterating toward a future vision
  • Provide direction and growth to the design team by reviewing design progress and providing constructive feedback to drive creative execution
  • Lead and workshop design thinking exercises to further develop designers and others in the business while pushing for creative growth and industry knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of product designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality product experiences
  • Employ a strategic approach to design, combining thoughtful leadership, creative direction, and people management to empower the team in creating outstanding experiences for our candidates and customers
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering leaders, leveraging strong communication and storytelling skills to advocate for a cohesive digital design system, user experience vision, and strategy
  • Utilize in-depth understanding of user behavior, employing robust analytics and experimentation frameworks to drive data-informed design decisions
  • Translate business needs into clear design direction for both interaction and visual design
  • Identify, prioritize, and create new design components that are reusable, responsive and accessible, while driving adoption of the design system
  • Inspire and lead experience design innovation
  • Ensure team accountability for commitments and ideas
  • Foster team growth and career development while challenging teams to surpass conventional thinking
  • Cultivate and maintain robust cross-functional relationships, while establishing yourself as a thought leader in product strategy; influence, mentor, and guide other designers to deliver the best work of their lives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Advanced understanding of design systems and an ability to communicate its value at various levels and functions of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in product design and development tools (i.e., Figma, Principle, Framer; ability to write markup and/or develop in HTML, JS, SwiftUI, etc.)
  • The ability to thrive at the intersection of design strategy, scaled solutions, and craft
