Summary

Join Airbnb's Partnerships and Business Development Team as a Strategic Partnership Manager to build and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic partners, driving joint revenue opportunities. Develop and execute unique strategies for each partner, encompassing business planning, co-marketing, and enablement initiatives. Leverage your expertise to build a strategic plan targeting key industries and companies, developing incentives and value propositions. You will own strategic partner recruitment, from initial scoping to ongoing management. Collaborate with Product Marketing, Business, and Engineering teams to align on strategic initiatives. Understand and utilize KPIs to guide your focus, program pivots, and build consensus with cross-functional stakeholders. Prioritize partner feedback and work with product and engineering to improve Airbnb's features.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in partnership management
  • An eye for product design and thrive in an environment working with partner product teams to evangelize Airbnb’s technology offerings to further product and business goals
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Comfortable with change and adapting to changing priorities with little notice
  • Experience managing large, diverse, and strategic partner relationships
  • A strategic leader who can develop partnership strategies, innovative commercial models and go to market plans to ensure your programs will scale globally
  • Adept at solving ambiguous problems and building for scale
  • Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to thrive under minimal guidance
  • Communicate with clarity and purpose in both written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic partners to drive joint revenue opportunities
  • Develop and execute a unique strategy for each partner, including business planning, co-marketing motions, and enablement initiatives
  • Reference and describe in detail previous programs launched from 0-1, the challenges overcome, and how success metrics were achieved
  • Build a strategic plan that highlights key industries and companies to target, develop incentives & product value propositions, and illustrate how to grow the channel over time
  • Own strategic partner recruitment end-to-end, beginning with initial partnership scoping and ongoing partner management
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Business and Engineering to align on strategic initiatives that drive deeper technical integrations and differentiated value propositions
  • Speak to specific examples of how you built relationships internally to execute new partner product launches, expand API capabilities, and scale new platforms
  • Understand what KPIs are required for success, get the right reporting in place, and use data to guide your focus, program pivots and build consensus with cross functional stakeholders
  • Use data to inform how you approach structuring partnerships to grow
  • Be well-versed in all the potential ways companies can integrate and partner with Airbnb from API integrations to highly integrated product partnerships
  • Prioritize partner feedback and pain points and work cross-functionally with product and engineering to prioritize Partner feedback thus improving Airbnb’s feature set and creating more delightful user experiences for Partners
