Requirements

  • 3+ years in product analytics, data science, or a related field; ideally at a SaaS company or startup
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, event tracking, and KPI frameworks
  • Exceptional ability to extract actionable insights from data and communicate them effectively
  • Understanding of SaaS business models, user engagement metrics, and growth levers
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is excited to build from the ground up

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and optimize our analytics tools and recommend enhancements to the data stack
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure accurate, clean, and timely data flow across systems
  • Define, implement, and document event tracking to capture key user behaviors
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including North Star metrics, engagement, and retention
  • Build dashboards and reports for cross-functional teams to monitor performance and trends
  • Conduct funnel and cohort analyses to identify opportunities for optimization
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover user behavior patterns and inform product development
  • Support A/B testing initiatives by designing experiments and analyzing results to validate hypotheses
  • Proactively surface insights and trends to influence decision-making across the organization
  • Advocate for the use of analytics to inform decisions across the company
  • Educate teams on analytics tools and processes to enable self-service insights
  • Lay the groundwork for scaling the analytics function, including potential future hires

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel) and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Omni)
  • Knowledge of Python or R
