Summary
Join Sumo Logic's user experience design team as a User Experience Designer, contributing to the design of impactful user experiences for complex B2B products, ideally within the cybersecurity domain. This fully remote position within the United States and Canada requires a passion for creating simple yet powerful experiences for complex technical products. You will collaborate closely with product teams, conduct user research, and champion data-driven design methodologies. Success requires a proven track record in B2B product design, strong communication skills, and a compelling portfolio. Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience as a designer working on shippable products in the B2B space
- Has a track record of influencing the direction of the product and delivering high-quality products
- Strong experience in working with engineering and product management teams to oversee the user experience of a product from discovery to delivery
- Experience with user research in building the product and testing to validate key insights
- A communicator who can easily explain the product design process to various teams
- A portfolio that highlights your strengths
- Bachelor's or Masterβs degree in design, human factors, HCI, or a related discipline
- Experience working on enterprise software and specifically developer tools for developers and security professionals
- Good understanding of cloud technologies
Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for different cross-functional departments
- Execute full UX solutions based on existing product vision and business requirements
- Create and communicate end-to-end scenarios, interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and specs to stakeholders
- Lead research that identifies user needs and product usability
- Ensure designs are validated and tested to meet user needs
- Lead data-driven design methodologies to champion refinements of the product until the usability and experience reach a delightful experience and success criteria
- Help lead improvements to processes and relationships beyond the scope of individual work
- Be highly adaptable in an ever-changing environment
