Summary

Requirements

  • Bring at least 5 years of product management expertise from dynamic settings, ideally with experience in B2B-SMB and/or B2C sectors like fintech, e-commerce, social media, or gaming
  • Possess a solid grasp of B2B-SMB product-led growth strategies, enabling effective collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Support teams
  • Exercise discernment in decision-making, knowing when to decline requests to maintain focus and when to take advantage of opportunities for quick wins that enhance team spirit
  • Embrace a systems thinking approach to problem-solving, valuing both incremental progress and the quality of what we deliver to customers
  • Exhibit a deep curiosity and commitment to enhancing the success and livelihoods of real estate entrepreneurs, translating their needs into actionable business objectives
  • Flexibly move between strategic discussions on OKRs and annual planning to hands-on product requirements, maintaining effectiveness across various levels of detail

Responsibilities

  • Immerse yourself in understanding customer pain points and opportunities to help their business thrive, recognizing the critical need to resolve these issues and take advantage of the opportunities
  • Create a product roadmap that addresses the customer pain points and use both quantitative and qualitative data to guide the strategy
  • Break big goals into small, solvable pieces, and reliably prioritize to iteratively deliver high-value, while balancing immediate needs with long-term objectives
  • Use data to test hypotheses, challenging preconceptions to enhance product quality
  • Critically assess ideas and proposals, enhancing them with your insights
  • Coordinate with Design and Engineering leaders to ensure clarity and alignment on priorities and expectations throughout the development process
  • Strengthen ties across cross functional teams to guarantee a unified, customer-first approach in all endeavors
  • Keep a pulse on market trends and competitor movements, understanding their implications for our customers and adapting our strategies to continually serve them better

Preferred Qualifications

  • While familiarity with Agile methodologies, continuous delivery, and tools like Jira are valued, we prioritize candidates who focus on driving our business forward by ensuring our customers are supported in reaching their goals through our products and services
  • Prior experience with a FinTech company or similar early-stage startups

Benefits

  • $160,000 - $190,000 a year
  • Cash compensation includes base + bonus and is based on a variety of factors including prior experience, geographic location, stock option grant and other factors, and may fall outside of the stated range for certain candidates
  • In addition to competitive cash compensation, Backflip employees receive equity stock options
  • Backflip employees also receive paid health care and a 401K + company match
  • All Backflip positions are Remote
