Senior Product Manager

Summary

Join Kora's growing Product Management team as a Senior Product Manager to lead our Pay-ins and Payouts products. You will be responsible for optimizing existing payment methods and building new ones for merchants across Africa. This role involves developing and executing product strategies for seamless payment experiences. You will collaborate with various teams, including Engineering, Product Design, and Business, to ensure high-quality product delivery. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in product management within the fintech industry, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact how businesses in Africa accept payments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product management, with demonstrated experience in successfully building and shipping impactful products
• Experience building payment solutions in the fintech industry
• Strong strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• You have a good understanding of how software is built and operated and experience in building technical software products
• Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
• Excellent ability to bring clarity and focus to complex and ambiguous situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and lead teams - Product roles bring responsibility without direct authority. We’re looking for leaders who can motivate and earn the trust of stakeholders and teams with a collaborative approach
• Curiosity and drive
• Great attention to detail and cares about building quality products
• Experience working with both qualitative customer insights and quantitative data to inform decisions. You’ve conducted user research, and a/b tests and have worked closely with product analysts

Responsibilities

• Strive to deeply understand user needs by conducting user research and identifying opportunities and pain points. And advocate for user needs through the cycle of building products
• Define, document, and drive roadmaps, project plans, and precise product specifications that consistently deliver quality products for your customers
• Work with a team of engineers and designers to discover solutions to customer pain points, and build and launch products for local and global businesses
