Senior Product Manager

Summary

The job is for a Senior Product Manager at Percona, focusing on the Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM) product. The role involves establishing a product strategy, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring delivery of a product that delights customers. The job requires proven success in product management, strong understanding of customer needs, technical background, cross-functional experience, exceptional communication skills, and fluency in English.

Requirements

• Proven success in product management with enterprise IT software, including experience shipping products
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of customers’ business challenges and needs, and how those translate to products that delight the customer
• Proven technical background in software development or operations
• Experience in working cross-functionally within and beyond engineering, to successfully develop and deliver software products and solutions
• Language skills: English fluently, additional languages appreciated
• Exceptional communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills, including public speaking skills
• Willing to travel occasionally on business (as travel conditions permit)

Responsibilities

• Establish a product strategy that complements both our corporate and product vision, whilst also solving customer problems
• Perform broad customer research to formulate market needs and product vision
• Collaborate with product leadership and other teams to lead product development efforts
• Work closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing and other teams to deliver a product that delights customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with open-source technologies, databases and/or monitoring and observability
• Experience working with open-source communities, as an active member who is involved with various open source projects
• Experience creating products for highly technical users; such as developers, cloud / systems engineers, site-reliability engineers, database administrators, etc
• Experience creating products for a multi-faceted B2B ecosystem or marketplace, including multiple personas within a single organization
