PolicyMe offers a remote-first environment, generous PTO, stock options, comprehensive benefits, professional development resources, and a flexible work environment.

Requirements

  • Possess exceptional collaboration skills: Have high emotional intelligence and can "be the glue" between many different stakeholders in the organization
  • Possess strong documentation skills: Have the ability to write clear, concise, and well-informed product specifications/requirements
  • Have the ability to structure ambiguous problems: Be able to take an ambiguous problem and structure it. Be someone who can start with an idea and manage it from concept to deployment
  • Demonstrate experience leading: Be comfortable bringing people together, leading teams and managing projects with many moving parts. Have a sense of ownership and be excited about driving a project from start to finish
  • Possess strong communication skills: Know how to tailor your communication style to meet different audiences. Know when to lead conversations, but also when to listen. Know how to set expectations with different stakeholders and when to ask these stakeholders for help. Be able to take a complex topic and explain it succinctly in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Have a strong sense for prioritization: Know how to prioritize different builds and define what is truly part of an MVP to optimize developer productivity. Know how to balance agile market feedback with our customers' product expectations
  • Possess curiosity and comfort with technical topics: While not needing a technical background, be naturally curious about how everything works. Know when to ask clarifying questions and not be shy about diving into complex topics
  • Have an analytical mindset: Be comfortable working with product data, defining its structure and running analyses to answer key questions
  • Have relevant product experience: Have 5 plus years of experience in product management, product marketing and/or strategy experience, preferably in a consumer technology setting. Be able to speak to your track record of leading projects and delivering measurable results

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert about our customers: Develop a deep understanding of our customers by talking to them regularly, analyzing our performance data, setting up mechanisms for collecting feedback throughout our flow and defining customer personas
  • Define the vision and roadmap for our product: Articulate the strategic goals for our product and define the roadmap for how we get there. Communicate progress against the roadmap and goals to all key stakeholders (e.g. Customer Success, Engineering, Growth)
  • Develop the backlog: Ideate with stakeholders across PolicyMe and then manage a backlog of new builds to meet our customers' needs, improve our back-end integrity, innovate and ultimately reach the defined vision
  • Prioritize what to work on: Decide what our engineers invest time on and in what order. By developing and executing a disciplined process, prioritize new features, product optimizations, bugs and maintenance activities
  • Define what each feature looks like: By collaborating with designers for wireframes, engineers for technical details and customer success members for customer insights, write the detailed specifications for what needs to be done in order to build and launch new features. Identify which aspects of a build are part of the MVP and which can come in future iterations
  • Rally the team to build it: Serve as the center-point across all functions for ensuring the new build is completed on-time and to specifications
  • Coordinate the launch: Work with the product team to ensure that the new release has been thoroughly tested and is ready to launch
  • Measure and learn: Measure the key metrics for our product and report out to the broader organization

Benefits

  • Generous PTO - 20 vacation days
  • Access to stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan
  • A remote-first team with company paid, in-person socials and the option to work from our Toronto-based office
  • Resources to help your professional development, including an L&D budget, performance reviews twice a year and ongoing feedback to ensure you reach your highest potential
  • Work with an empathetic, high-performing team in a flexible, results-oriented environment
