Senior Product Manager, Remote - United States

Summary

The job is for a Senior Product Manager, Data Model at Tempus who will improve the data used by internal and external customers to enhance patient care. The role involves increasing multi-modal datasets, developing a central data strategy, and partnering with engineering leaders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of technical experience in product management or in building software in the tech or healthcare industry
• Exceptional ability to build and drive product strategy cross-functionally, across teams whose roadmaps you manage directly and those you don’t
• Ability to manage several programs at once and work proactively to align multi-disciplinary stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to act as translator among diverse teams of biologists, medical professionals, engineers, operators, and data scientists

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in tough problems and partner with scientists, engineers, and designers to develop software solutions
• Lead Data Modeling, Informatics, and Data Delivery programs, owning everything from end-to-end data product strategy to roadmap for addressing critical data needs for customers
• Turn Voice of Customer feedback into a high-impact strategy and plan for data use and quality improvements
• Conduct deep product analysis and use the data to guide the short- and long-term roadmap for the data content, modeling, and architecture engineering team
• Own stakeholder communication and expectation management around roadmap and delivery timelines for your products
• Build the Tempus Data Model roadmap across Tempus data products articulating business value for clinical, molecular, and imaging data assets
• Assess data quality needs and drive the Tempus data quality program

Preferred Qualifications

• A history of working with healthcare data that are an output of patient care including EMR data, molecular testing data, and imaging data is preferred
• Experience in complex data de-identification, data modeling, healthcare informatics, and/or AI-driven data enrichment
• Experience with software development and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
• Ability and interest to quickly ramp up on new concepts in the fields of genomics, oncology, etc
