Base compensation ranges from $72,300 to $81,000, with additional incentives and benefits.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in managing full proposal lifecycle, including proposal writing in education or a related field
• Previous experience with proposal management software (Loopio or other)
• Experience with proposal responses to SLED markets, with a strong portfolio in K-12
• Experience with these Newsela softwares/programs: Google Suite; Word, Excel, Adobe DC/Pro, Salesforce
• Excellent time management and able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Responsibilities

• Manage a full proposal lifecycle (sourcing, strategy development, proposal management, submission, and post-submission)
• Contribute to multiple simultaneous proposal projects while working cross-functionally
• Understand response strategy, and develop expertise in Newsela’s product suite and offerings
• Maintain knowledge of Newsela as the products expand and improve
• Lead end-to-end proposal creation for RFPs, ensuring alignment with client requirements, timelines, and company objectives
• Draft, edit, and format proposal content with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
• Leverage Loopio, along with their ability to analyze RFP requirements, to craft compelling, accurate, and comprehensive responses
• Ensure all proposals are delivered on time, meeting hard deadlines without compromising quality or compliance. This includes creating and adhering to detailed project schedules, managing priorities effectively, and proactively addressing any potential risks or delays
• Maintain accountability for the entire proposal lifecycle, from initial intake to final submission, ensuring timely, professional, and error-free deliverables
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Legal teams to gather input and insights for proposal development
• Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders to ensure timely review and approval of proposals
• Facilitate and lead proposal kickoff meetings, brainstorming sessions, and post-mortem reviews
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on proposal outcomes and insights
• Develop and maintain a centralized repository of reusable content, templates, and proposal-related resources
• Regularly update content to reflect current product offerings, services, and company capabilities
• Contribute to the refinement of RFP response systems
• Provide input to make our RFP responses more efficient and high quality, leading to an improved win rate over time
