Summary
Join Wealthsimple, a leading Canadian fintech company, as a Senior Recruiter and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our high-impact teams. You will own full-cycle recruiting for complex roles across various departments, partnering with hiring managers and HRBPs to develop effective hiring plans. Leverage AI and smart tools to streamline workflows while maintaining a human-centric approach. This role demands a test-and-learn mindset, proactive sourcing, and the ability to run fast, inclusive hiring processes. Requirements
- 8+ year track record full-cycle recruiting, with a proven track record in business hiring (e.g., operations, marketing, finance); technical hiring experience is a plus
- Skilled at building and running effective recruiting processes; defining clear hiring criteria, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring a consistent, inclusive experience
- Familiar with sourcing platforms, AI tooling, and modern recruitment technology
- Proven ability to take on complex searches, improve processes, and make measurable hiring impact
- Hungry, proactive, and resourceful; you embody our Wealthsimple values
- Naturally curious; you love digging into markets, talent pools, and trends
- Passionate about building a better financial future and making it accessible to everyone
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for high-impact, complex roles across tech and business teams—move fast, hire smart
- Shape hiring plans that actually move the needle, partnering tightly with Hiring Managers, HRBPs, and Finance
- Use AI and smart tools to speed up sourcing and streamline workflows—always keeping the human touch front and center
- Bring a test-and-learn mindset: try, tweak, repeat, and level up how we use hiring tech
- Lead intake and search strategy like a pro—drop market insights, data, and solid judgment that helps teams think ahead
- Don’t wait for roles to open—build and nurture talent pools early with fearless, thoughtful sourcing in niche and hard-to-fill spots
- Run hiring processes that are fast, inclusive, and smooth—for candidates and hiring teams alike
- Own interview loops, debriefs, and closing with care and clarity—make every step count
- Track KPIs and funnel health like a hawk; use data to catch risks early and sharpen hiring strategies
- Help define what “great” really means—calibrate expectations, coach others on fair and long-term impact hiring
- Represent Wealthsimple’s EVP with heart—tell stories that make candidates want to join our mission
- Coach junior recruiters, share wins, and build a team culture of learning and growth
- Lead process audits and projects that push TA tools, systems, and candidate experience forward—think scalable impact
- Foster a recruiting culture that’s supportive, high-performing, and 100% aligned with Wealthsimple’s values
