Summary

Join Aprio's Workforce Optimization team as a Senior Resource Manager and help clients maximize their opportunities. You will play a key role in facilitating processes to effectuate Aprio’s Workforce Optimization and Resource Management strategy. Oversee a team of Resource Managers, ensuring efficient staff deployment, proactive capacity management, and cross-functional workforce alignment. Partner with global service leaders, talent, and finance teams to support a scalable and consistent resource management framework. This leadership role requires managing and developing a team, supporting standardization of resourcing practices, and fostering a collaborative culture. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in resource management or workforce planning, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Experience managing a team of resource managers across multiple practices and regions
  • Strong understanding of staffing dynamics, engagement models, and operational planning
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, trends, and workforce metrics
  • Proficiency with resource management platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and influence across organizational levels

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Resource Managers aligned to multiple practice lines
  • Support standardization of resourcing practices across practices, regions, and teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement within the resource management team
  • Facilitate capacity planning, forecasting, and real-time deployment activities for assigned business areas
  • Ensure alignment of resourcing decisions with client priorities, skills development, and staff capacity
  • Partner with engagement leaders to resolve conflicts, urgent needs, and demand fluctuations
  • Build effective partnerships with Practice Leaders, Talent, HR, and Finance to enable seamless strategic workforce planning
  • Participate in planning meetings and governance forums to represent workforce needs and share insights
  • Act as a key resource of contact for escalations and resourcing trade-off decisions
  • Manage the ongoing evolution of design, build, and integration to optimize the resource planning platform (ProStaff)
  • Drive consistency in use of the engagement workflow tool (CCH), resource planning platform (ProStaff) and the reporting dashboard (Power BI)
  • Ensure accurate and timely data input to support visibility, analytics, and decision-making
  • Support change initiatives, training, and process enhancements related to workforce management

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification (e.g., RMCP, PMP, SHRM-CP) is a plus
