Summary

Join The Black Tux as a Senior Site Merchandiser and oversee the execution of product launches, promotions, and merchandising strategies on our Shopify platform. You will be responsible for optimizing the customer journey, increasing conversion rates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This fully remote role requires 5+ years of e-commerce merchandising experience and a strong understanding of the apparel industry. You will leverage data-driven insights to make strategic decisions and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and analytical skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for e-commerce and men's fashion. The salary range is $85,000-$100,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, site operations, or digital retail management
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the Shopify platform and its capabilities
  • Be able to learn merchandising apps quickly and configure them
  • Have high attention to detail and accuracy in managing product information and inventory levels
  • Possess a strong understanding of the apparel industry, including trends, seasonality, and consumer behavior
  • Have a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving key performance metrics in an e-commerce environment
  • Have experience using Slack
  • Possess excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Analytics
  • Have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Have a creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative merchandising strategies
  • Possess creative problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for item setup and bundle creation, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the planning team to ensure best-selling and core styles are fully stocked. Prepare backups for best-selling styles
  • Develop and execute site merchandising strategies to optimize the customer journey and increase conversion
  • Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to monitor traffic, customer behavior, and product sales trends
  • Create and optimize product listing pages (category and collection pages) with ideal sorts using data-driven insights and automated merchandising tools
  • Conduct A/B testing to identify the most effective merchandising strategies and improve conversion rates
  • Oversee site maintenance, ensuring excellent customer experience and troubleshooting issues related to merchandising setup
  • Implement and manage promotions, seasonal campaigns, and special collection pages
  • Work closely with other e-commerce teams including website development, digital product, and UX/UI design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, and product development to align site merchandising with overall brand strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques
  • Be familiar with SEO best practices for e-commerce
  • Have knowledge of email marketing strategies and their impact on site merchandising
  • Have a passion for ecommerce and a keen interest in men’s fashion and apparel
