Summary
Join Databricks' Strategy & Operations team as a Sr. Manager to enhance product planning, execution, and strategic analysis within the GTM teams. Leverage data and qualitative insights to support Sales and Field Engineering Leadership in managing business operations, focusing on platform health and adoption. Serve as a strategic partner for VP-level leaders, contributing to GTM design, annual planning, data analytics, and business health reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Field Engineering, Sales, Product, Finance, Data, and Partnerships. Report to the Director of FE Strategy and Ops. The role involves leading executive analyses, guiding annual GTM planning, providing operational visibility, generating performance trend analyses, spearheading GTM operations for new products and partnerships, driving GTM changes, and providing a scalable framework for assessing platform health. You will also inform product roadmaps, improve GTM visibility, and work with a high-performance global team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of strategy & operations experience (Investment banking, strategy consulting, FP&A, business operations, Enterprise/Mid-Market SaaS experience)
- Leadership and confidence to support VP-level GTM stakeholders
- Ability and passion to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems
- Propensity to summarize complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams, and internal customers
- Data expert: Querying and scoping (SQL, Databricks, BigQuery), analysis (Excel), summarizing (pivot tables, charts, slides, written explanation), reporting (dashboards, repositories)
- Process expert: Envision E2E process change to solve our needs, drive agreement, document requirements, guide execution in partnership with IT, perform UAT, and report on progress
- Proficient in BI and sales tools (eg: Salesforce, Tableau etc.)
- Passion for building and working in a high-performance global team
- A fondness for customer service and patience
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic business partner for both Sales and Field Engineering leadership
- Lead executive analyses, strategies, and deliverables (e.g., board materials, QBR)
- Guide annual GTM planning process (FY and long-range modeling, KPI setting, HC planning)
- Provide operational visibility and performance tracking against targets (weekly reviews, async updates)
- Generate deep dives into performance trends with/action-oriented outcomes
- Spearhead GTM operations for new products and partnerships, providing reporting, insights, and recommendations
- Drive necessary GTM changes to scale new initiatives, working with varying x-functional teams
- Provide a scalable framework for assessing platform health
- Inform and enhance product roadmap with voice of the field and quantitative analysis
- Improve GTM visibility into product roadmap and feature releases
