Summary
Join AUTO1 Group as their new Senior Logistics Business Development Manager and contribute to managing their Europe-wide network of over 200 logistics partners. You will be responsible for negotiating and managing contracts, leading the tendering process for new logistics solutions, overseeing the logistics administration system, and contributing to P&L targets. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is key, as is managing cross-functional projects to drive business improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a B.Sc./M.Sc. in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience. Remote work may be considered.
Requirements
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field, and 6+ years of relevant work experience
- You must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and stay within budget
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights are required
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage external partners independently are a must
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other European languages is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Own the negotiation, execution, and management of contracts with suppliers, landlords, and partners, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives
- Lead the entire tendering process for new logistics solutions, from preparing tender documents to evaluating proposals
- Oversee the logistics administration system, ensuring efficient management of information and processes
- Contribute to achieving P&L targets by managing costs and providing detailed reporting
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, and develop expertise in your areas of responsibility
- Manage cross-functional, data-driven projects with the aim of exceeding expectations and driving business improvements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service quality within the logistics network
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in parcel logistics, automotive logistics, finished vehicle logistics, transportation, real estate, or network design is a plus
- Industry knowledge and an established network within automotive logistics or the delivery space is a plus
