Senior System Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior System Engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain Monitoring Solutions for an international communication and information systems company. The role is 100% remote from Poland, using SCRUM methodology, and the team consists of developers, a Product Owner, Line Manager, Architect, Testers located in Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Engineer/Developer
• Deep hands-on skills with the technologies and tools mentioned above
• Proficient in the scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash
• Debugging and root cause analysis skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a Scrum Team
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, min. B2 level

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain the Monitoring Solutions
• Participate in design and documentation activities
• Build new features, containers, automate deployment
• Provide dashboards, templates, scripts, etc
• Benchmarking and performance/security improvements
• Prepare user documentation and (video-) trainings
• Provide 3rd level support (bug fixing, troubleshooting)

Preferred Qualifications

• Also experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge in networking (switching/routing)
