Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role, with a focus on Power BI for at least 5-6 years
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and the creation of custom visuals
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Proven track record of designing complex Power BI solutions that drive insights and support business decisions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Experience in data warehousing concepts, data governance, and best practices in data management
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into Power BI solutions, and guide data-driven decision-making
- Build and optimize complex data models within Power BI, using DAX and Power Query to implement calculations, KPIs, and advanced metrics
- Conduct data analysis and interpret trends to identify key insights and strategic recommendations
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through rigorous testing, data validation, and quality checks
- Develop custom visuals and enhance dashboard interactivity to meet unique business requirements and improve user experience
- Mentor and train junior team members on Power BI best practices, DAX, data modeling, and visualization techniques
- Stay up-to-date on Power BI capabilities, including new features, custom visuals, and updates to improve performance and functionality
- Work closely with data engineering and IT teams to ensure efficient data integration, scalability, and performance of the BI environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud-based BI environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) and other visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members
