Requirements

  • Proven engineering background
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and APIs
  • Experience with documentation tools (Git, GitHub, Markdown, Hugo, Algolia, JavaScript)
  • Proficiency with HTTP clients (Postman, Curl, Httpie)
  • Extensive experience writing technical content for developers, SaaS, and B2B products
  • Strong skills in content design, stakeholder management, and developer advocacy
  • Excellent spoken and written English (native or fluent)

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage Tyk's documentation quality and effectiveness and overall design
  • Create user-centric technical content (guides, best practices, feature documentation)
  • Test products to write new content and improve existing materials
  • Automate and improve the documentation publishing process to increase speed, reduce errors, reduce frictions, and minimize human intervention that slows us down
  • Identify and address content gaps to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Help create and maintain a quarterly documentation roadmap
  • Maintain docs guidelines and standards (style guide, ToV, etc.)
  • Lead continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, compliance, legal, marketing)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with analytics tools and creating diagrams
  • Knowledge of OpenAPI documentation and related tooling
