Summary

Join our Modern Workplace team as a fully remote SharePoint Administrator! This role is a key contributor in administering and supporting our M365 collaboration infrastructure, focusing on SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. You will analyze and improve SharePoint permission structures, optimize sites, and provide governance reports. Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, and migration tools like ShareGate is essential. Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's (4-year) degree in a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 suite and its products, focusing on SharePoint and Teams
  • Have 2+ years of migrating SharePoint content libraries using tools such as Sharegate or equivalent
  • Have 2+ years of modernizing permissions around M365 content for least privilege access
  • Have 2+ years of automation around M365 processes
  • Have 2+ years migrating on-premise workloads to M365 and cleaning up stale data post-migration
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge, understanding, and experience with Microsoft 365 admin centers
  • Show knowledge and awareness of supporting M365 services, including Entra, Viva Suite, Lists, Planner, Forms, Stream, Power Platform, and other ancillary products
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks to deliver based on deadlines
  • Have experience serving as a liaison between engineering and helpdesk to support and automate critical business processes
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, detail-oriented, communication (verbal and written), multi-tasking, analytical, patience, and flexibility skills
  • Have experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, Graph API, Power Platform, and other programming languages or platforms
  • Have experience working with international teams and different time zones
  • Be strong in technical troubleshooting and the use of troubleshooting utilities
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Possess advanced Excel skills, including the ability to produce graphs and tables, use spreadsheets efficiently, and perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data
  • Have a passion for Microsoft 365 cloud technologies
  • Demonstrate initiative, a "can-do" spirit, ownership, meet commitments, and deliver results

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support our M365 collaboration infrastructure, focusing on SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Analyze and improve SharePoint permission structures
  • Optimize SharePoint sites according to Microsoft modern architecture best practices
  • Provide governance reports to management
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Utilize governance solutions that direct Microsoft's AI offerings, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio
  • Use PowerShell scripting for efficient tenant administration
  • Perform capacity planning and lifecycle management of the SharePoint environment, leveraging ShareGate, AvePoint, and other 3rd party offerings
  • Work closely with help desk technicians for resolutions to escalated tickets and training on new features
  • Collaborate with security operations to maintain proper security posture and focus on security requirements when designing solutions
  • Migrate workloads end-to-end from on-premise to cloud or cloud to cloud using ShareGate
  • Report on cloud licensing and resource utilization to preserve costs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certification (a plus)
  • Experience with AvePoint tools and services (a plus)
  • M365 Copilot experience (a plus)
  • Power BI experience (a plus)
