The job is for a Social Media Professional to contribute to the launch and growth of an unannounced utility token for an NFT marketplace. The role involves building and growing a global community across various social media platforms, understanding tokenomics, developing and executing a social media strategy, producing content, running live virtual activities, engaging with the community, managing a team, generating reports, and partnering with graphic designers and video production companies.

Requirements

  • Develop a deep understanding of general tokenomics for utility tokens, particularly those designed for NFT marketplaces, including earning and staking mechanics
  • Super curious about tokens, DeFi, DAOs’, and NFTs; you’ve seen the headlines and gone further down the rabbit hole and now hold some tokens yourself
  • An organized person; your strong project management skills are an inborn characteristic
  • A hands-on doer; you can run content schedules, craft messaging, create graphics and short video clips on-the-fly, publish content, and analyze results
  • A resilient sponge; small teams and startups aren’t easy and there will be hazards along the way so you must be fortified and willing to learn
  • Functional: minimum of 2+ years experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably for a cryptocurrency or blockchain-based startup
  • Industry: personal and professional experience in web3, DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and marketplaces, with knowledge of top aggregators and tier-1 and 2 crypto-exchanges

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow a utility token community across Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Develop the social media strategy for the utility token
  • Produce a series of original short-form content focused on the token
  • Devise and run live virtual activities, such as AMAs
  • Engage with the social media community as ambassador, evangelist, and educator
  • Help design landing experiences and token on-boarding flows to receive organic inbound traffic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Creating Great Content: you use the best tools and practices (e.g., GIFs, infographics, video clips, etc.) to create content that drives engagement and virality
  • Creativity on the Fly: you’re fast with new concepts and ideas, and eager to always “try something new” in pursuit of growth and optimization
  • Writing; you are skilled with copywriting and can write well, quickly and easily; you can also collaborate visual designers to quickly make an idea real
  • Design & Video Editing; while not necessary, you will be more successful, quicker, if you have experience with Photoshop, Sketch, and Premiere or After Effects
  • Hacking; you can analyze results like a detective, find patterns and opportunities, and quickly exploit them with each new post in pursuit of engagement and virality
