Summary

Join The Dodo as a Social Media Manager and execute daily social media distribution, ensuring seamless content publishing across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Threads. Requirements

  • 3+ years of social media experience, with deep knowledge of content scheduling, publishing, and audience engagement
  • Strong familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Dash Hudson, and other schedulers
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented — you thrive in deadline-driven environments and handle volume with ease
  • Confident editing short-form content for social (CapCut, mobile editors, Premiere)
  • Comfortable being on-camera or doing voiceover when needed — you value authenticity and connection
  • You own a pet and enjoy being part of the pet-parenting community
  • You’re passionate about The Dodo’s mission and excited to support both The Dodo and The Pack

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day scheduling and publishing of social content across platforms including TikTok, YouTube (VOD & Shorts), Instagram, and Threads
  • Tailor copy and tags per platform, manage contributor attributions, and handle light community engagement (e.g. pinning, tagging updates)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless publishing aligned with platform best practices
  • Use tools like Dash Hudson, Buffer, and native platform schedulers to manage workflows efficiently
  • Track and surface content performance insights, identify trends, and help refine publishing strategies
  • Stay up-to-date on platform shifts and emerging features to keep our strategy current
  • Collaborate with analytics and content leads to monitor performance and flag fluctuations that may impact results
  • Proactively identify gaps in the publishing pipeline and help implement solutions to maintain cadence
  • Contribute to short-form video content by pitching, filming, editing, or repackaging videos for social platforms
  • Support the team during high-volume campaigns or coverage gaps (e.g. PTO) by stepping in to create or adapt content as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a content creator is a bonus — especially if you bring POV-driven or creator-first instincts to your work
