Summary
Join SSENSE's rapidly growing technology team as a Software Developer (Level 2)! Collaborate in an agile squad to enhance your software development skills using modern frameworks and cloud-native solutions. You will independently develop and deliver features, contributing to product improvement. Responsibilities include technical design, documentation, code reviews, and ensuring code quality. You'll also mentor junior developers and participate in recruitment. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least one year of software development experience.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- At least 1 year of software development experience, including object-oriented programming (OOP) and working with modern frameworks like React or Vue.js
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in Node.js for building scalable backend services and familiarity with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including writing optimized queries
- Experience with Git for version control, cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on technical design
- Contribute to documentation
- Build expertise through peer learning and code reviews
- Deliver features independently while adhering to best practices, security standards, and quality guidelines
- Ensure code quality through unit tests, automated tests, and collaboration with QA Analysts
- Take ownership of creating, organizing, and maintaining technical documentation for the team
- Stay up to date with technologies like TypeScript, React, Node.js, and cloud services through workshops and training
- Support onboarding by mentoring new developers and providing guidance on tools and practices
- Implement detailed design solutions
- Contribute to system improvements
- Participate in the recruitment process by attending tech events, evaluating coding assessments, and identifying top-tier talent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in agile development methodologies
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of serverless technologies and event-driven architectures
