Summary

The job is for a software engineer in the Foundations team at Tecton, responsible for optimizing the inner development loop, defining technical standards, architecting testing pyramids, and evolving product platforms. The role requires 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems, excellent communication skills, and experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to write detailed technical specifications
• Experience with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Optimize the inner development loop for Tecton engineers - enable fast builds and high-quality local development
• Define and drive adoption of core technical standards across Tecton - refine how we use fundamental technologies (think: Bazel, linters, dependency injection, logging)
• Architect Tecton’s Testing Pyramid, designing test abstractions which run quickly while providing high-fidelity regression signals
• Evolve product platforms that solve product-building challenges shared by multiple teams (think: database design, serving infrastructure, task execution frameworks)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the following technologies is preferred / a bonus: Python, Kotlin, Bazel, Kubernetes, gRPC, and Postgres
