Software Engineer III in Worldwide

Summary

This is a mid-level to senior software engineering role with 5-9 years of experience in designing and developing software applications using .Net and C#, SQL performance troubleshooting and tuning, and familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and Azure DevOps or Jira. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience as a technical team lead and 2+ years of practical experience with Agile development methodologies. They must possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and be collaborative in nature. The opportunity involves actively supporting and developing software solutions for PDI products, troubleshooting and resolving software issues, guiding and training less experienced engineers, and partnering with Product Management to consult on solution feasibility.

Requirements

• 5-9 years’ experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment
• Proficiency required in all of the following: .Net and C#
• Proficiency required in SQL performance troubleshooting and tuning
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and the use of Azure DevOps or Jira

Responsibilities

• Actively support and develop software solutions for PDI products
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions
• Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug production issues
• Guides and trains less experienced engineers
• Partner with Product Management to consult on solution feasibility and high-level effort estimation
• Prepare and provide case status and risk assessments to their manager with appropriate levels of detail to ensure customer issues are properly escalated and prioritized
