Summary

Join Paladin Technologies as a Software Programmer and contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of integrated low voltage systems. You will plan, design, and coordinate the development of computer-based systems, including mobile applications. Responsibilities include assessing, troubleshooting, and documenting systems, developing software and integrated information systems, and working with third parties for integration. You will also plan and deliver software upgrades, develop maintenance procedures, and collaborate with other teams. Flexible working schedule and some travel are required. Occasional on-call support may be needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ progressive experience in Information Technology, with proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting complex systems
  • Experience with Python and C# programming
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and priority-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with remote work and participating in remote teams

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and co-ordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems including mobile applications
  • Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade, and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments, and applications software
  • Development of software and integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems
  • Work with 3rd parties to integrate software and/or transfer information as required
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and service issues related to the above infrastructure
  • Plan and deliver software and OS upgrades
  • Develop and maintain Method Of Procedures for system upgrades and implementations
  • Work directly with other Systems Analysts, Project Managers, Sales, and Engineering resources to help design IT infrastructure supporting Physical Security and Audio Video solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion, and commercial audio-visual systems is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and networking
  • Progressive experience in Information Technology, with proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting complex systems
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset
  • Creative and outside the box thinker
