Summary
Join HiveMQ as a Solution Engineer and partner with Account Executives to bridge the gap between technical and business needs of customers. Guide customers as a technological advisor, supporting deal strategy creation, answering product and business value questions, giving demos, and enabling Proofs of Concept. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in IoT, messaging tech (e.g., MQTT), networking, and enterprise security. A minimum of 4 years in software pre-sales or solution engineering is required, and experience with sales frameworks like MEDDPIC is preferred. The position requires fluency in English and German and is located in Germany or Austria with up to 20% travel.
Requirements
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in customer requirements with internal stakeholders to produce clear plans of action and novel solutions
- Strong presentation skills for customer meetings, webinars and conferences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong experience in IoT, βmessagingβ tech (eg MQTT), and networking (eg TCP/IP, Websockets)
- Some experience in enterprise security, reliability, interoperability, and observability
- 4+ years in software pre-sales or solution engineering experience
- Located in , Germany or Austria to travel up to 20%
- Multi-Linguality in English and German
Responsibilities
- Partner with 3 - 4 Account Executives to bridge the gap between the technical and business aspects of our customers' needs
- Support the creation of deal strategy with your AEβs, preparing answers to product and business value questions, giving demos, and enabling Proof of Concepts to showcase the value of our products as they relate to business challenges
- Collaborate closely with members of our Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to provide comprehensive solutions that align with customer strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Have worked with sales frameworks such as MEDDPIC
- Experience with Java, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, Ansible/Tensorflow
- Experience in Industry 4.0, SCADA, and Digital Transformation
