Solution Engineer

Summary

Join HiveMQ as a Solution Engineer and partner with Account Executives to bridge the technical and business needs of EMEA customers. As a technological guide, you will prepare product answers, give demos, and enable Proof of Concepts. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. This role requires strong presentation skills, experience in IoT, messaging tech (like MQTT), and networking. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of overall experience, with 3+ years in engineering or 2+ years in pre-sales. Location is in the UK or Scandinavia with up to 20% travel.

Requirements

• Navigate ambiguity in customer requirements with internal stakeholders to produce clear plans of action and novel solutions
• Possess strong presentation skills for customer meetings, webinars and conferences
• Have strong experience in IoT, “messaging” tech (eg MQTT), and networking (eg TCP/IP, Websockets)
• Have some experience in enterprise security, reliability, interoperability, and observability
• Have 5+ years overall experience, 3+ years in engineering or 2+ years in pre-sales
• Be located in the UK or Scandinavia and willing to travel in this area up to 20% (although it’s typically less)

Responsibilities

• Partner with 3 - 4 EMEA Account Executives to bridge the gap between the technical and business aspects of our customers' needs
• Serve as a technological guide and trusted advisor
• Prepare answers to product questions
• Give demos
• Enable Proof of Concepts to showcase the value of our products
• Collaborate closely with members of our Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to provide comprehensive solutions that align with customer strategies
