Solution Engineer

Summary

Join insightsoftware as a Solutions Engineer and contribute to the success of our budget consolidation business unit. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, you will be responsible for product demonstrations, pre-sales support, and partner enablement. This remote role requires bridging the gap between sales and post-sales teams, providing expert guidance to prospects. You will need strong technical expertise, client engagement skills, and the ability to map customer requirements to software solutions. A consulting mindset and experience in the EPM, ERP, or financial software industry are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years in a sales engineering, presales, solutions consulting or solutions engineering role, preferably within the EPM, ERP, or financial software industry
• Proficiency in EPM and/or ERP platforms and a solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client challenges

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of our solutions, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and tailor presentations that demonstrate how our solutions can meet those requirements
• Conduct compelling product demonstrations, highlighting the value and capabilities of our offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work closely with prospects to design custom solutions that align with their business processes and objectives
• Assist in crafting detailed proposals and responses to RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with prospect needs
• Gather insights from prospect interactions to inform product development and enhance our solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a software platform/product in a customer-facing B2B environment
• Experience with SAP and/or Oracle platforms
• Experience with Rest APIs
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
