Requirements

  • Strong empathy and ability to understand diverse customer perspectives
  • Excellence in remote collaboration, with a commitment to transparency and accountability
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in technical pre-sales
  • Computer Science degree and/or substantial engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex projects with multiple stakeholders and changing variables

Responsibilities

  • Own technical conversations and solution architecture in customer engagements, establishing yourself as a trusted technical advisor
  • Bridge customer needs with product capabilities, translating complex requirements into actionable insights for our product team
  • Research and communicate market and industry trends to inform product strategy and roadmap decisions
  • Empower colleagues across the organization by sharing technical knowledge and best practices, elevating the overall technical expertise of the team
  • Design and execute sophisticated proof-of-value projects that demonstrate clear business impact for customers
  • Represent poolside as a thought leader at industry conferences and technical events
  • Engage with customers through on-site visits to ensure successful solution delivery and implementation (regular travel required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering or pre-sales background in AI/ML
  • Deep understanding of AI fundamentals, from neural networks to large language models
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI coding platforms, including direct usage and API integration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the generative AI landscape, particularly in software engineering - including current capabilities, limitations, and emerging trends
  • Strong grasp of both developer needs and enterprise requirements for AI-powered software engineering solutions
  • Knowledge of soufflΓ©s - extra points for baking expertise
  • The persistence to write poolside with a lower case p, despite autocorrect's best efforts
  • A fondness for company retreats, whether they're mountainside or beachside
