Solutions Engineer

Summary

Join Prefect as a Solutions Engineer and become the primary technical contact for our customers, ensuring their success. You will design, develop, and deploy solutions using Prefect, building strong relationships with clients and advocating for their needs during product planning. This role requires a product-focused approach, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering teams. You will be responsible for building scalable processes and operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and leading projects to completion. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a solutions engineer
• 2+ years of working in a customer facing role
• 2+ years of Python experience
• 2+ years of experience in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• 1+ years of experience working with databases (ex. PostgresSQL)
• You genuinely care about the customer experience and want to ensure customers are happy and utilizing the product
• Deep discovery skills and the ability to uncover problems
• Robust work ethic, you never settle for "good enough"
• Experience delivering projects from creation to production

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to design, develop and deploy solutions
• Develop a clear, technical understanding of our solution, best practices and competing solutions
• Build technical solutions for customers using Prefect
• Build and support long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with new Commercial clients
• Present and demonstrate the value of Prefect from a technical perspective to prospective clients
• Help bring in new business to Prefect through, achieving monthly revenue goals
