Summary

Join Redpanda's rapidly growing Solutions Engineer team and help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners. As a Solutions Engineer, you will provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and support technical evaluations. You will work alongside the sales team, lead product briefings, build proof-of-concepts, and prototype Redpanda integrations. You will partner with internal teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experience. This role requires experience leading presentations, developing solution architectures, and teaching users how to use software. Redpanda offers a fast-moving, 100% remote work environment with a global team.

Requirements

  • 3-8+ years of prior experience leading presentations, collecting requirements, developing solution architectures, and teaching prospective users or project teams how to use software similar to Redpanda
  • Comfortable developing/prototyping solutions in many different languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, and Javascript)
  • Passion for working on complex technical problems and have a strong understanding of modern infrastructure and streaming technologies (Kafka ecosystem preferred)
  • Strong ability to build relationships with our partners, customers, and open-source users
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding
  • Collaborative spirit and enjoy making sure each team gets customer feedback to provide great customer experience
  • Flexibility to travel to meet customers, attend events or conferences or wherever the work takes you
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of different cloud vendors, for example, AWS and GCP
  • Experience working with enterprise accounts

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the sales team to introduce Redpanda to our potential customers
  • Lead product and solution briefings, build proof-of-concepts (POC), run live product demos, and prototype Redpanda integrations
  • Partner with Redpanda product management, engineering and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experience
  • Identify and address customers' key technical objections and develop the strategies to address those blockers to adoption
