Summary

Join Vivi, a leading EdTech company, as a remote Technical Sales Engineer! In this crucial role, you will bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and support teams, acting as the technical product expert. Your responsibilities include supporting the sales process, gathering customer requirements, configuring Vivi in customer environments, and providing technical guidance. You will also assist with RFPs, create technical documentation, and conduct competitor research. This position requires 3-5 years of experience in a similar technical role, along with expertise in wired and wireless networking. Ideally, you will possess CCNA or CompTIA A+ certifications and experience with ITIL methodologies. The role is fully remote, but candidates in the Mountain/Central Time Zones are preferred.

Requirements

  • 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience in a similar technical role
  • Experience of sales technology, processes and deal pipelines, K12 EdTech and SaaS knowledge preferred
  • Experience of working within commercial sales team
  • Demonstratable experience of working with wired networking technology including switch and firewall configuration and troubleshooting
  • Demonstratable experience of working with wireless networking including LAN configuration and troubleshooting
  • Relationship-driven with customer-first mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Have a passion for technology, particularly in the EdTech space
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including an ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative when problem solving and exercising judgment
  • A great team player who can work autonomously when required

Responsibilities

  • Being a point of contact for technical questions within the sales team
  • Liaising with the global engineering and support teams to solve problems as they arise
  • Gathering customer requirements
  • Supporting customers through the evaluation and onboarding process
  • Configuring Vivi within customer environments
  • Advising customers on how to best configure their environments to work with Vivi
  • Assisting with responding to RFIโ€™s and RFPโ€™s
  • Completing technical documentation required by customers
  • Competitor research
  • Technical guidance for salespeople in pre-sales meetings and possible demos (virtual and in-person)
  • Keeping the sales team up to date with technology
  • Developing and documenting implementation plans and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
  • CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
  • Experience applying ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) methodologies
  • Experience working with the Atlassian Suite (Jira Service Desk and Confluence)
  • Experience working with CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Experience of working with AV equipment, specifically HDMI displays, projectors and interactive touch panels
  • Knowledge of all major desktop and mobile operating systems
  • Knowledge of networking practices as applied in school environments
