Solutions Engineer

Summary

Join WorkOS's growing Solutions Engineering team as a technical partner for some of the fastest-growing SaaS companies. You will guide teams through architectural decisions, build proof of concepts, and help integrate WorkOS products. This role requires a strong engineering background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping developers succeed. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Developer Success, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who can clearly communicate complex concepts and enjoys tackling open-ended technical challenges. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the SE function and tooling.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer), ideally in a B2B SaaS or developer tools company
• Proven experience supporting a technical sales process and driving successful outcomes with engineering and product stakeholders
• Excellent communicator - able to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong engineering background with familiarity across web technologies, APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML), and software architecture patterns
• Creative problem-solver who enjoys tackling open-ended technical challenges with curiosity and precision
• Fast learner with a builder’s mindset - eager to explore new technologies and help shape product direction

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical advisor to engineers, product managers, and technical leaders, guiding architectural decisions and best practices to help customers get the most out of WorkOS
• Develop and maintain reusable assets, including code examples, proof of concept applications, demo environments, and demo assets
• Present technical demos and lead technical onboarding and implementation planning sessions to ensure customer success
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop deep technical knowledge of WorkOS and its roadmap
• Provide structured feedback and work closely within the Developer Success and Engineering teams
• Design and articulate technical solutions that solve critical business challenges for a variety of companies
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with enterprise customers, ensuring long-term integration health and expansion opportunities
