Sr Salesforce Engineer

Summary

The Salesforce & Automation Engineer will own the technical design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of automation solutions for Ciitizen's operational teams. The role requires strong experience in developing within CRMs, especially Salesforce, and proficiency in various programming languages and integration tools. The position is a full-time remote role with an option for hybrid work based out of San Francisco, CA.

Requirements

• Over 4 years experience with Salesforce as a developer or administrator, including proficiency in Salesforce configuration, Apex development, and Lightning components. Experience with other CRM platforms like Hubspot
• Strong programming skills in Shell scripts, Python, and JavaScript, with demonstrated experience building automation scripts and solutions
• Experience with integration tools and platforms such as Segment, HubSpot, or similar

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to become an expert in end user processes and create elegant solutions for automation within various operational systems
• Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions using Salesforce configuration, Apex, and Lightning components to automate processes and improve operational efficiency
• Utilize automation programming languages such as Shell scripts, Python, and JavaScript to build custom automations for various operational tasks
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems and tools, leveraging APIs and integration platforms (e.g., Segment, HubSpot) to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability
• Perform thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure reliability, accuracy, and adherence to business requirements
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing automation solutions, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance as needed
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize automation initiatives and communicate progress and updates effectively. Present well-thought out approaches and technical trade-offs
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in automation and Salesforce development, applying new insights to drive continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to understand complex business requirements and independently design elegant solutions to streamline and automate workflows
• Experience in the healthtech startup ecosystem is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functional teams
• A strong understanding of front-end performance optimization, scalability, and security
• A growth mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, constantly seeking ways to simplify and optimize processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to solution design and implementation
