Requirements
- You are an accomplished accounting professional with a comprehensive foundational understanding of accounting principles and internal controls with 2-3 years experience in corporate accounting
- Your knack for process optimization is coupled with your ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, supporting compliance and efficiency across corporate accounting
Responsibilities
- Work Product Ownership: Take responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks, learning from both successes and errors
- Operational Support: Assist with core accounting processes such as the monthly close, fixed asset tracking, accruals, prepaid expenses, and lease accounting
- Internal Controls: Follow established internal controls and help document accounting procedures to support compliance and audit readiness
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with accounting standards, laws, and regulations, escalating issues as needed
- Process Improvement: Help identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy within the corporate accounting function and the border organization
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and other teams by providing timely, accurate financial data and documentation
- Audit Preparedness: Support audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation to ensure a smooth and timely audit process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm or a publicly traded company, bringing valuable insights and expertise in best practices
- Exposure to process improvement initiatives or interest in identifying ways to increase efficiency
- Strong Excel skills and interest in learning data tools
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accounting teammates
- Actively pursuing CPA licensure or have passed one or more sections of the CPA exam
