Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Professional persona and attitude
  • Strong communicator - both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in G-Suite
  • Candidates must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Experience in WorkDay, QuickBooks or similar accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Support the Controller and finance team with the bill pay process, including timely recording of bills, related journal entries and reconciliations, and complete and accurate supporting documentation
  • Help drive the vendor payment process, ensuring timely disbursal of payments, adherence to credit limits, and necessary communication both internally and externally
  • Manage and record corporate credit card transactions and employee expense reimbursements paying attention to proper coding and expense policies
  • Perform month-end closing activities and reconciliations for various accounts/processes. Areas of focus may include, but would not be limited to, prepaids, expense accruals, credit card expense reconciliations, and reporting
  • Work alongside the finance team to prepare journal entries and reconcile account balances, ensuring to maintain accurate supporting records and documentation
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual balance sheet and P&L analysis
  • Support the Finance team with compliance and audit procedures as necessary
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to evolving demands and priorities related to the integration of accounting systems and processes with the MiQ global finance team
  • Assist with other duties as deemed necessary for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is a plus
  • Experience in the advertising industry is a plus
