Summary
Join STR's outstanding and growing Contracts team as a highly motivated Subcontract Administrator with experience in U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) contracts. Reporting to the Subcontracts Team Lead, you will support all functions related to subcontract administration, leading subcontracting activities, overseeing projects, and gaining valuable experience. This role requires high energy, a commitment to excellence, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in federal government contracting. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. This position offers the flexibility of a remote or hybrid work schedule.
Requirements
- Have worked in a Government Contracting environment with subcontract experience
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and general contracts law principles
- Experience with various contract types (i.e., CPFF, FFP, T&M, Cost-Reimbursement, Labor-Hour)
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance
- Possess the following attributes: Ability to collaborate, communicate, and coordinate effectively and in a professional manner across the organization

- Proficient organization skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

- Bachelorโs degree; work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Working experience using Deltek Costpoint
Responsibilities
- Perform life cycle subcontract administration for a high volume of government contracts within a diverse portfolio under the direction of the Subcontracts Team Lead and Director of Contracts & Compliance
- Operate consistently with STRโs Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and model these values in all activities and interactions
- Conduct both competitive and sole-source solicitations of STRโs subcontractors
- Manage proposals directly with STRโs subcontractors, to include sending requests for proposals, perform proposal analysis, compliance activities, and proposal revision coordination
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements in day-to-day execution and during audits
- Draft and negotiate subcontract agreements, to include interpreting proper flow down requirements from the prime contract
- Review, negotiate and execute non-disclosure agreements and other types of special agreements
- Support post-award subcontract monitoring and management
- Maintain compliant records and support purchasing system compliance activities, including customer communications with the DCMA and supporting Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSRs)
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Recommend process improvements to scale and optimize subcontract activities and practices
- Participate in special projects, as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) or more (3+) years of government subcontract experience with DoD and Intelligence customers
