Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, or similar fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
- At least 1 year of programming experience in Python and/or R
- Experience manipulating and summarizing large datasets with statistical packages and data management tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Results-driven focus and ability to see issues to completion in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills with internal clients, both written and oral
- Ability to excel and work with cross-functional teams, all while working remotely
Responsibilities
- Programming complex surveys using an in-house scripting language based on Python
- Setting up surveys for fielding in YouGovβs multiple markets and languages
- Testing survey appearance and user experience on various web browsing platforms and devices
- Monitoring, investigating and reporting on data collection issues resulting from survey programming
- Cleaning and preparing survey data deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in survey research
- Experience with terminal commands and Git
