Systems Administrator

Summary

Join Mindera's team as a skilled Systems Administrator, managing and maintaining computer systems and networks. You will install and configure software and hardware, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data backup and recovery. Collaboration with other IT professionals is key to ensuring smooth system operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses a strong technical background in systems administration. Expected travel is minimal (0-15%). Requirements

• Be detail-oriented
• Be proactive
• Have a strong technical background in systems administration
• Configure and troubleshoot GNU/Linux, MacOS and Windows
• Networking, routing, IP addressing and VLAN planning, configuring VPN connections
• Manage IDS/ IPS and firewalls, Iptables, pf (pfSense), Cisco ASA, etc
• Directory services (MS AD, FreeIPA, other LDAP), SSO and RADIUS
• Manage and optimise relational databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL or MariaDB
• Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Backup strategies
• Metrics, graphs and everything around monitoring and alerting (Zabbix, Syslog, ELK/Elastic Stack)
• Write code to automate processes and tasks

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization's computer systems and networks
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Monitor system performance

• Ensure data backup and recovery
• Work closely with other IT professionals and departments to ensure smooth and efficient system operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes
• Experience with configuration infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with Change management and Infrastructure documentation
• Experience with Virtualization and Storage (ZFS)
• Proficiency in one or more scripting / command language such as Bash or Python
• Ability to learn with and teach others
• Ability to be self-driven and work with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose
