Systems Engineer

Summary

Join Designed Conveyor Systems as a Systems Engineer and apply your material handling systems layout expertise to create functional designs for clients. You will lead the development of material handling concepts, detail them into functional layouts, and determine throughput capabilities. This role requires collaboration with intercompany groups to support proposal development and execution. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of experience in material handling system design, a Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred), and expertise in AutoCAD. Requirements

• Have 10+ years of Material Handling system design experience
• Have a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred)
• Have expertise in AutoDesk/AutoCAD drafting software
• Be experienced with material handling equipment OEMs software drawing packages
• Have extensive knowledge about a wide range of handling equipment
• Have experience working with system simulation
• Have extensive experience leading system pricing estimation
• Have experience at all phases of the project lifecycle from concepting through implementation

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of material handling concepts
• Detail material handling concepts into functional layouts
• Apply equipment types that maximize the utility of the equipment and match the desired output
• Determine throughput capabilities and right-size equipment applications
• Support the development equipment lists and equipment pricing
• Compare layout designs to determine the best overall approach
• Deliver findings to intercompany groups
• Work with intercompany groups to support proposal development
• Work with intercompany groups to further develop proposals into execution
